About MagpieChats

I started MagpieChats as a blog, curating moodboards and what-to-shop lists and generally chatting about my love for styling jewellery. I have always wanted to highlight the beauty and potential in pieces that already exist.

Over time this developed into edited drops of rings on Instagram. MagpieChats Antiques then formalised as a brand to provide an edited collection of vintage, antique and second hand jewellery, restoring, reworking, and resizing where needed to give these treasures a new life.

Sustainability

Sustainability is central to MagpieChats. Most of our pieces are pre-loved, second-hand, vintage or antique pieces sourced from the UK. We restore them where needed in London, working with expert jewellers in London's jewellery district, Hatton Garden.

Some ways we keep sustainability front and centre:

  • Sourcing: we source and restore vintage and second-hand rings, the most sustainable option for jewellery.
  • Materials: New bespoke pieces are cast with recycled gold.
  • Packaging:  Each MagpieChats piece will be delivered in a paper ring box and we prioritise recycled and recyclable packing materials. 
  • Shipping: within the UK, we use Royal Mail, "the UK's greenest* delivery option for letters and parcels" according to their website! - Royal Mail.

Meet the Team

  • Head Magpie

    Grace is a long time jewellery obsessive, never found without a large stack of rings. She started life bead-looming and making button-bracelets, before interning at a silversmiths. She is in charge of all things sourcing. Contact her for any special sourcing requests.

  • Logistics Magpie

    All things logistics run through Grace. Her extensive experience with Vinted mean she knows how to wrap a good package. While she aims to wrap every item with a bow, sometimes she forgets. Contact her for all postage queries, package tracking and gift wraps.

  • Finance Magpie

    As a #womeninstem, Grace uses her many degrees (she has 2 masters and a PhD) to run all things finance. Her spreadsheet is something to behold. Contact her for any queries regarding payments.
